New online learning resource covers a wide range of primary care topics reflecting the varied and demanding nature of general practice work

Working as a general practitioner involves many challenges in a changing clinical landscape, and increasing time pressures can make it difficult to keep up with the necessary learning about primary care, so we’ve launched our e-GP programme of interactive e-learning for trainees and qualified GPs.

Created in partnership with the UK’s Royal College of General Practitioners, e-GP covers a wide range of primary care topics reflecting the varied and demanding nature of general practice work. Aimed primarily at GP trainees, it is also an invaluable professional development tool for qualified physicians, with content updated regularly to match evolving clinical practice and meet the highest training and quality standards.

Flexible online access

Available online, e-GP provides flexible learning for users in the workplace, at home or on the move, covering a vast array of subjects from palliative care and pregnancy, to intellectual disabilities, trauma, consultation skills, clinical supervision and physical examinations.

Written and peer-reviewed by leading experts in general practice, content is delivered through a range of dynamic features such as videos, case studies and questions, which help to reinforce learning on key themes. Self-assessment exercises enable users to check their understanding, and there are links to further reading resources. Subscribers can record their progress online and print certificates of completion as evidence of CPD.

Targeted course content

Content is arranged into bite-sized learning sessions – each lasting approximately 20 to 30 minutes – so users can select modules that are relevant to their areas of interest and revisit them as many times as needed.

All e-GP users also benefit from access to four other eIntegrity programmes:Safeguarding Children and Young PeopleAdolescent HealthHealthy Child andHealthy School Child.

Wide-ranging applications

e-GP is designed to support and enhance traditional learning approaches such as classroom teaching, and also provides a highly effective resource for teaching staff to use in group training sessions. It allows users to fill in knowledge gaps, prepare for assessments and appraisals and also support continuing professional development.

An essential, cost-effective e-learning resource

Accessible anytime, anywhere, e-GP offers an invaluable resource that is now available to healthcare organisations globally. Single-user access to e-GP for 12 months costs £350 (+VAT), and we can also arrange for multi-user or multi-year licences.
