e-ELCA (End of Life Care of All) is eIntegrity’s innovative elearning programme for health & care professionals, around the world, involved in delivering end-of-life care.
The programme enhances the training and education of staff in a variety of roles and care settings, through 180 interactive sessions, each written & peer-reviewed by clinicians, practitioners, and experts in their field.
The programme’s Advance Care Planning (ACP) modules explores the principles and processes of ACP – a person-centred discussion between an individual and their care providers about their preferences and priorities for their future care. ACP ensures the dying person, and those identified as important to them, are involved in decisions about treatment and care to the extent that the dying person wants.
Developed in the UK by NHS Technology Enhance Learning in partnership with the Association for Palliative Medicine, e-ELCA’s APC module includes 20 sessions helping care providers to understand the principles and purpose of ACP, its benefits, and limitations, and how to carry out ACP in practice.
While elements of ACP are based on UK law, the underlying principles are transferrable to health and care systems around the world – including help with communication skills surrounding what can be challenging conversations.
The engaging, interactive content is delivered online, means you can study at any time, from home, at work or even on the move.
Plus, the bitesize modules take 20 to 30 minutes to complete and track your progress. So it’s possible to dip in and out of sessions, and allow you to access them in any order, as frequently as you need.
Making e-ELCA the perfect course to enhance your knowledge and skills even when you have a busy life.
