Learners can now print off or download certificates of completion for individual modules on our Acute Medicine e-learning course (ACUMEN) as well as the full programme.

ACUMEN, which has been developed in the UK by the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians and NHS England’s e-Learning for Healthcare, covers all aspects of acute medical care. The programme includes knowledge sessions on all 65 major forms of clinical presentation to acute medical units. Interactive clinical scenarios also allow learners to test their skills in diagnosing, managing and treating various medical issues.

ACUMEN is aimed at clinical trainees who are completing core medical or acute care common stem training. It is also suitable for senior trainees in acute and general medicine.

The programme is used by clinicians from a whole range of specialties and learners can select specific modules according to their training needs or interests. The new functionality gives learners the option to produce certificates for individual elements of the programme that are relevant to their specialty.
